The Foundation For over 10 years, American Outdoor Lighting was defined by the vision and hard work of Bob Scott. Bob didn’t just build a business; he built a reputation for excellence across Houston. But the story of our new chapter actually began 20 years ago, when Bob Scott and Jeremy Ryder first worked together.

A Full-Circle Moment Years after they first met, a water damage crisis at the Ryder family home brought Jeremy and Bob back together. What started as a home repair project turned into a partnership, and Jeremy joined Bob’s team, bringing his passion for hard work to Bob’s expertise in home remodeling and handyman services.

The Heritage Legacy As Bob prepares for a well-deserved retirement this year, he is passing the torch to Jeremy and Rachel Ryder. As a family with two young daughters, the Ryders understand that a house is more than just a building—it’s a heritage.

To reflect this evolution, we have renamed the company Heritage Home & Lighting Solutions to encompass both the lighting and the custom home services of our business,
